Nathan Lagman - Class of 2027
Nathan was always destined to attend Servite High School and follow in the footsteps of his father Richie Lagman ’91, his uncle Joseph Lagman ’01, his brother Saul Betancourt ’16, and his cousin Sydney Lagman ’20. As a small child, he could often be found toddling around in Servite shirts, beanies, and onesies, and he was no stranger to being on Servite’s campus with his parents for athletic games, social events, and volunteer opportunities.
While attending Corey Elementary School in Buena Park, Nathan was an honor roll student and stayed busy with a variety of extracurricular activities. He participated in the running club, choir, plays and musicals. He also had the opportunity to perform with Corey Elementary at Segerstrom Center for the Arts in their version of the Disney movie Jungle Book. Another memorable occasion at Corey Elementary was when Nathan beat-boxed with his 4th grade teacher’s band during a music showcase.
After Corey Elementary, Nathan attended Buena Park Middle School where his love for music really shined. He played the euphonium and tuba in the school’s band, and the marimba in the inaugural percussion program, which earned first place in the Southern California Percussion Alliance (SCPA) regional show. Nathan was also an honor roll student in middle school, participated in the choir, and performed piano, guitar, and vocal solos during the spring music concert.
Nathan was elated when he received his acceptance letter to Servite High School. As a freshman, he played football, wrestled and is in the choir. He feels so humbled and very blessed to receive the Bunk Wurth scholarship.
Jackson Hoffmann - Class of 2025
Jackson attended his very first Servite vs. Mater Dei football game when he was just 9 months old, and he has not missed many big games since. At age 2 he had a black helmet and a CREDO T-shirt and started imitating the “Hut Drill.” Today, as a Servite Freshman, he is a proud member of The Asylum.
Jackson’s Catholic journey began at St. Norbert’s in Orange where his father, Ted Hoffmann, and many of his aunts, uncles, and cousins attended, and where his mom Kathy now works as the head preschool teacher. Jackson has always been a good student and a solid athlete playing flag football, basketball, and volleyball. As Covid restricted some activities, Jackson explored new areas of interest specifically theater and Academic Decathlon. His 8th grade AD team placed first place in the Small Schools Division with Jackson earning a third-place medal in Social Studies.
With special recognition for excellence in Religion and in Math, Jackson graduated from 8th grade with Highest Honors. And on his commencement day, Jackson received the phone call from Servite informing him he was the recipient of the Bunk Wurth Memorial Scholarship. Jackson was speechless as his lifelong dream of becoming a Friar would soon be a reality.
Jackson’s legacy at Servite is vast: father Ted Hoffmann ‘82, uncle Mike Hoffmann ’94, uncles Dan Honikel ‘82, Matt Honikel ’85 and Chris Honikel ’91, Jackson’s cousins, Joe Honikel, 2012 and Luke Honikel graduated in 2021. His younger cousin Logan Honikel will be a freshman next year.

Noah Andrade - Class of 2021
Noah Andrade, son of Eric Andrade, class of ‘83, graduated from Servite in 2021. While attending Servite, Noah thrived in the school’s music classes. He took piano for three years, as well as classical guitar. That momentum led him to learning ukulele and electric guitar, as well as developing his keen interest in music production. Among Noah’s favorite experiences during high school was a month-long trip to China the summer after his sophomore year where his appetite for travel and learning about other cultures was ignited. He continued to study Mandarin all four years at Servite.
Noah maintains his passion for music as he produces Lo-Fi compositions. His latest musical creations can be found on Spotify under the artist name “Kairos” (see Spotify list below). Noah is currently attending Orange Coast College as a music major and works part-time. He plans to transfer to a 4-year university once he completes his GED requirements.
At the 15th Annual Bunk Wurth Memorial Golf Tournament in March 2021, Noah shared a some inspiring words about his time at Servite . A video clip of his speech is provided below the Spotify link.
